This is Japan’s best green tea which is made from single buds that are harvested in Ap/May. They are called Japanese shade teas because the tea is covered for 3 weeks in early spring before plucking. This is to increase the chlorophyll which makes the leaves dark green and to reduce the tannin to give a sweeter flavor with no bitterness. Gyokuro has been referred to as “history, philosophy and art in a single cup.” This tea can be infused many times.
Ingredients: Luxury Green Tea Brewing Instructions: Use 1 tsp of tea for each 6 ounce cup. Bring water to just under a boil and let steep 2-3 min and enjoy. |
